Lazarus

We were asked to help assist the younger kids opening on Wednesday night with a skit. We had a couple of brave souls make their acting debuts delivering a moving skit on Lazarus. The Post said it was "gut wrenching," while the Times praised its "heart felt passion." No doubt the role of Jesus played by our own BG had to have the Academy taking note of who the best male lead in a drama should be. But the star of the show was Lazarus, played by the well know actor The Mummy. After giving breath taking performances opposite Brendan Fraser in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, the toilet papered star delivered a less violent, more tasteful performance. The ability he showed to lie motionless for about 4 minutes straight is something legends are made of.

I laughed. I cried. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak from Geno's.
By all accounts, the leads and their supporting actresses gave humanity something that only comes along once in a life time. Citizen Kane, Casablanca and Godfather all fail in comparison to this masterpiece of human passion and of God's Love.
