Pastor Tim and Joy!

Tonight was Tim and Joy's "official" 1st night with us! The night started off with a BIG circle. We went around and said our names, grade and our least favorite class of the day! We also played a fun game that involved 4 people sitting on the couch. This was Boys vs Girls. We played twice and for now it is at a Tie! Sounds like we will be playing this game again! Afterwards, we had snack and social time and announcements. 

It's going to be a GOOD YEAR!

Back 2 School!! Already?

Today was the 1st day of school for Hiland & West Holmes High Schools. Its crazy to think that summer vacation is over! Times flies when you are having fun. 

Tonight, we invited the incoming Freshmen for a fun evening of Smores, Singing and Games! Thanks for coming, you are a fun group of teens. We look forward to getting to know you more.

Tonight was also our last night with the Seniors of 2009! Its always hard to say goodbye. We will be praying for you as you enter into a new chapter of life.  

Farewell

We have been blessed with Shelly, Allan, Wes & Kathy! Its sad to see them go! They have played a BIG ROLE in all of our lives. Thank you guys for taking the time to minister to us. We love you!

Open House was a Success!

It started off at the entrance of the Church. People were encouraged to grab a hot dog from the Grill Mister, Ben and then head to the table of goodies! After eating, everyone was encouraged to go check out the newly remodeled Upper Room and to meet our Youth Pastor Candidate and Wife...Tim and Joy!

Thanks TEENS for helping out with the Open House! We had a big turn out. I am sure Tim and Joy were tired out by the end of the evening. Thank you everyone for coming out to meet our Youth Pastor Candidate and for showing your support to the MYF!

Open House

Wednesday (July 29) we will be meeting our Youth Pastor candidate and his wife! We are having an OPEN HOUSE in our newly remodeled MYF Room from 5:30-8pm. Please come and meet Tim and Joy! They really want to meet you too! 

Hot dogs and drink will be provided, but need your help with the other food items. Lisa has a food list of what we need you to bring on Wednesday. If you haven't heard from her or Jesse, please text or give them a call ASAP. 

Pool Party!!

This Wednesday we are meeting up at Barry and Brenda Hummel's house for swimming and games and Bongo Ball!! We are meeting at 6:30 pm. Please bring a snack to share with everyone! If you need directions, please contact Burke.

BTW: The pool will be set at 85 degrees!!!!

Having a good time in Columbus!

We made it to Columbus! Wow, there is so much to say, but little time to share. We hope to fill in the details later. Last night's Worship Service was amazing! We managed to make it to the 1st three rows (thanks to Josie and the guys of our group)! The Praise team was awesome!  We learned several new songs. We hope to teach them to you all soon!  We loved the speaker, Brenda Matthews (AKA Mama Brenda). She encouraged us to step into our spiritual destiny. She said, "The Holy Spirit is the juice" and invited us to stand and raise our hands as she prayed for the Holy Spirit to fall afresh on our lives! What an amazing Lady of God!

Evan Almighty

This was a fun evening! Evan Almighty is a great movie! A BIG Thank you to the Women of Hope for making homemade ice cream! Thank you Jesse and Lisa for letting us hang out at your beautiful home! Thank you Jordan for getting the movie set up!

Outdoor Movie Night!!

On Wednesday, we will be meeting at Jesse and Lisa's house at 7pm for an outdoor movie. There will be homemade ice cream!!!Call or text one of the sponsors for directions to their new house. This is a great opportunity to invite friends!!

Grad Party Pics

Tonight we had a celebration party at Codi's new house. We honored our Seniors! We prayed for them as they venture on into a new chapter of life. We enjoyed good food made by Elsie...player Rock Band...watched Seniors open their new Bibles (From MYF Sponsors) and Blankets (From our Church and Made by the Ladies Sewing)...ate brownie sundaes...laughed...laughed...and laughed some more! We had a fun evening. What a wonderful group of teens!

Grad Party

Please join us tonight at Codi Mast's House to honor the seniors of our MYF!!! Elsie Mast has offered to make supper for us, so be sure you come hungry!!! Seniors, be ready for your picture to be taken. We will be taking a lot of pictures!

Spiritual Gifts

Pastor Bruce led us in a Bible Study about Spiritual gifts. We were given a questionnaire
to fill out, once that was filled out, we then had to add numbers up to find our scores for each different Spiritual gift. What a surprise to most of us! I think we all learned something about ourselves. We are ready to go serve and use our gifts that God gave to us! Thanks PB!!!

What a Successful Day!

Thank you EVERYONE for attending the MYF Carry-In & Auction. What a fun day! What a SUCCESSFUL day! We made around $9,000! Praise the Lord! We now have all our funds raised for the Columbus Convention. CONGRATS, you guys! We are blessed with an awesome Church Family!
